Happy Tuesday! What a birthday week – thank you for all the love. My topic this week is on being sore after a workout or run. I noticed last week, I did a really good arm workout on Wednesday and felt super tired during. I was excited at the fact of being sore (weird, I know) and was very disappointed when I wasn’t. Got me thinking…is there still a gain with no pain?
According to an article by Active.com, the answer is yes kinda? Basically everyone is different when it comes to working out and recovery (goes a little scientific that I’m not gonna try to explain) but also discusses true pain versus soreness. You should never be in terrible pain after a workout but soreness is ok, maybe not every time. You should be tired and (like me) sweaty but that’s about it.
Is it bad that I’m disappointed in not being sore? Masochistic? Probably 😂
