Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a great week. I am in the third week of meal replacement shakes and it’s going well so far. I have lost 5 lbs so far! I was expecting to have lost more than that at this point but that is spot on. But let’s talk about Slim Fast and how it’s not the slim fast of old.
There is the original formula (no longer in the metal cans) that come in the powder form and the premade form. There is a keto formula which, obviously, is for people wanting to do keto. And then there is the advanced formula, which is what I use, that has extra protein in it which holds over the hunger longer.
Slim Fast prides themselves on their “123” method. 1 sensible meal, 2 meal replacement shakes, 3 snacks every day. For men, you can add a scoop/shake to every replacement shake or add a 200-calorie snack to your day. I just go for the extra scoop because it’s easier. But overall, they talk about having a 1200-1400 calorie day. Which coming from someone who basically at 1800-2000, that’s a big deficit haha. But it really hasn’t been too bad. The first week, I made sure to have snacks available for when I needed them and the second week I did not. The second week, I ate worse 😊 So snacks are important haha. And slim fast has GREAT recipes for snacks, meals, and smoothie/shake recipes. I found the red velvet one there and my new fave of the week that tastes like orange dreamsicle.
I’m still trying to decide if I want to continue with Slim Fast into the next month or if I want to change it up and go to Herbalife.
I will say, my grocery bill has gone down about $40 every week because eating one meal (where if I eat lunch, it’s at work) is not a lot of food you have to buy. Which is nice 😊
I’m hoping that I can stay on track a little more for the rest of the month and maybe drop a little more. But hey, 5 lbs is better than nothing.
Have a great week everyone!!
